I am having to replace the instrument cluster on my 2001 D2 Td5 ROW spec (LHD, km/h)

Per EPC the p/n for the KPH (km/h) ROW spec cluster is YAC001550PMA with a price tag of £490 (exc VAT) while the KPH GB/AU spec cluster (p/n YAC001560PMA) is only £107.

Have studied the electrical diagrams and could not find any obvious differences in wiring, pin outs, voltages, signals, etc. between the two of them. Also the cluster does not seem to be 'handed' since the ROW version serves both LHD & RHD countries.

Bottom line question is: would it be feasible to use a GB/AU spec cluster to replace my ROW one?

Any and all insight will be greatly appreciated.

Give Bundalene a personal message, he disassembles D2s, he may have one you can buy(they are second hand though)

If it all looks the same layout then I suspect it's the typeface on the dials that's different - I think they changed for the D2a facelift??

Yes that would be a different set of p/n's altogether, although same behavior, clusters look the same for both the GB/AU and ROW markets though they are different parts.
