You have to wonder whether this guy was wearing a mask when he painted this "cool" car. The ad is hilarious, especially the starting price.

Yes, that was the point in Land Rover's history when it was a subsidiary of Holden. Did you not know that?

Nothing says bogan like "WHITE MARBILE SKULLS AIR BRUSHED."
I'm not sure which is worse - the mind-numbingly bad spelling and grammar or airbrushing skulls on a Land Rover.

Apparently it is the coolest landrover ever!
For another 2k you can get a genuine rare ceremonial ex mil one on ebay.
Honestly isn't $10k a little bit over the top - it doesn't even include the roof which is selling seperately and I don't believe that it could be driven/registered with the windscreen removed (folded yes but not gone completely).I notice no number plates on it.
What are they thinking!!!
Lets all get fake ebay names and start a bidding war on it an hour before the listing ends:wasntme:

Maybe that is code for: "I have done no repairs, maintenance or servicing to the motor and running gear in the time I have owned it"

I got a twitch in one eye I trying to read the sales pitch. Good to see such use of words and letters though. Gives you a yard stick to compare your self to and for me realise I`m not to bad at all. As for the price, tell him he`s dreaming. You`d at least wan`t the jousting sticks throw`n in at that price.

I would think it should tow pretty well with 186 litre engine.

Apparently it is "COOL". :)
Yes well that intrigued me so I asked him a question.
Will be interesting to see whether he answers and whether he puts it on ebay.
Is this car really cool?
I was thinking of getting a commodore and doing it up. This one looks like you could take it surfing?
Will I get girls with this car ?

I sent this ****** a PM through ebay asking if the zero key had stuck on his key board when he was doing the add, his reply
" Your wallet must be very small " and it had one spelling mistake in it

If his is worth 10k and looks like that, mine with a roof, low k's, gas and also sporting a genuine land rover 186 motor must be worth twice that.
Should ask him if it passed a roadworthy/rego inspection with no roof and no windscreen, I think it has to have either a hard top or a soft top present and fitted to pass. don't see a rego plate anywhere.

You reckon he could spend $10 on some side light lenses/globes - even if they dont work.
As mentioned above, I'd buy that ceremonial S3 that has been sitting on ebay for weeks. He'd probably take around $10K for it.

Oh my god, I LMAO reading his add and then I read the thread.
I'm not prepared to do it but someone should send him the link to this thread.
Some times people need to see the harsh reality that they need to educate them selves just a little bit before advertising something in the public forum such as Ebay, and not throw a tennis ball covered in paint at a black landy and say it's worth at least 50 times what it really is.
Imagine the looks you would get driving that at a Land rover club day, I'm sure it would attract some sort of attention.
Cheers Casper

Notice he did not mention if it has one of those SUPER COOL gear stick knobs with red back or even a skull. That would add about $1,000 of coolness ?
Not so sure about how safe the home made bench seat might be with original seat belts ?

At the other end of the scale. This bloke seems honest enough and is struggling to get a bid. :(

Perhaps he should get 10 cans of satin black enamel, a couple of fancy gear knobs, some skull stickers .....

Yeah I'd probably pay $200 for it but everything's for sale for the right price, maybe someone out there wants a super cool landy whatever the cost...and plus this provides great entertainment...:D

That bumper looks like it was folded from a sheet of tin.
Instead of skulls, maybe he should have airbrushed some:

These are the sort of people that will then say , yeah I had a land river once could not sell it , and took me ages and I had to nearly give it away in the end.
See a lot of disco's with stupid prices on them. Saw a disco 1 1997 modelling with 180,000k's on it. That a car sales yard wanted $17,000 for. I asked them if it was that speacial edition with the gold plated chassis.
