Flying into Melbourne lunch time Friday (18/11/2011) to pick up my new D4...

Besides priority 1 being - Get the new beast... My schedule for the day is pretty flexible....

Will most likely find a place to sleep and drive back to Whyalla the next day.
(Or head to Robe for the night!) :D

Nice! If you need a lift from the Airport to the Dealers, let me know, I will be floating around in that general area then. I can PM you my phone number if you want - no biggy if you have something sorted - Enjoy the trip!

Cheers - Gav

No probs at all - Enjoy! - I am insanely jealous, my leased car is a base model dunny door - I will have to go and see my Boss about what he can do for me - not much I am thinking... :D

What time do you think you'll be done at MLR ? I may pop along there for a drool over the new wheels if you don't mind ? As long as I leave my wallet at home I'm sure I'll not be tempted by anything in the showroom....

I'd offer you somewhere to stay as well, but our house is still devoid of furniture and I doubt you'd want to sleep on a bare floor, our container from the UK still hasn't shown up :(

See you there

I'll be in a silver Focus XR5, just in case there are 2 white D4's with new owners polishing them in the car park.... ;)

None until Pt Augusta. I drove 3 thunderstorms yesterday. And where it was pooled on the highway they were drinking.

Damn good brakes on a D4!

Lots of them around here. There was at least 20 on the highway between Pt Augusta and Whyalla.

Aye, the storm we had here a few hours after you left was a belter, floods left right & centre.

If there's that many Roos on the roads perhaps I really should think about bastardising a bar for the RRS once it arrives, can't really guarantee nailing one with the winch bar...

So, proved its ability off road ?

Bar work is always a good idea.

Only a simple hill was climbed today.:D
