is anyone on the forum affiliated with a decent tool suppliers.

Decent infers that the mob that you are affiliated with can supply at a minimum SP/Kingchrome and Sidchrome/Snap on including specialist tools.

I've had a couple of inquiries from budding young mechanics that I've had swing past my world for tool kits lists and Id like to be able to give them a single POC that can provide custom tool sets and boxes, If I can help out someone on the forum I figure why not do that too.

to avoid any problems with unsolicited advertising please answer with a I am in public or with the details in PM...

Mods, if this is stretching the rules of general too much please feel free to shift it to wherever is more appropriate

the snap-on van will gladly visit your worksite and let you spend several hours drooling......if good tools do that to you. if you have other craftsmen who might be interested in getting more tools they will organise things better for you.

Dave, have a look at Machine Shop Discount Supply/Quad Machinery & Supply (http://www.msdiscount.com) They are one of my USA suppliers. They have a good range of hand tools like Allen and Armstrong and other name brands. Order the 800 page catalogue as it lists much stuff that is not on the web site. I am not interested in carrying mechanics hand tools but will introduce you if you wish to negotiate discount with them. I will stick to machine shop supplies and engineer's cutting tools.

Importing is easy if you keep your parcels below AU$1,000 and use the US Post Office. You can get 20 lbs in a flat rate air mail box for US $54.50.
