Not sure if this is the right place for the forum, but I wanted to see if these sorts of rims fit the D3 as I need a set for off-road/on-road and thought maybe these are a reasonable option. Can you advise if these fit? Should I not look at Sport rims?

I think you will find that the rims will have a lower load rating than what is required for a D3 but is a bit hard to confirm.

RRS 18" rims are rated at 940kg and the 19" - 20" rims are rated somewhere between 860 - 900 kg. I would ask the seller to have a look at the load rating cast into the reverse side of the rim.

If the load rating matches or is higher than D3 19" rims then there will be no issues.

Thanks, I will ask, and keep a look out, I mainly just want to replace one of my rims, but when a set comes along for nearly the cost of 2 rims its kinda worth thinking about. :)

"Starting Price" ;)
I found and bought 4 x 18" SE rims for $426 on eBay locally.

Use something like "Hammersnipe" or "Bidnip" for bidding on eBay.
It put's your bid in for you in the last 10 - 20 sec of the auction.
Works a treat, don't even need to be viewing eBay at the time to win!

adzee,

After you work out if they would fit etc I assume you are intending to buy these as your on road set of rims because 19 in off road tryes are not abundant and quite expensive.

Depending on what you have on now (I assume 18in) you would be better served trying to find a set of 17in rims, which do fit on the 2.7 Lt TDV6 versions of the the D3 and I think the D4.

The tyres are cheaper, there is a greater selection and most would agree that they work better in really tough stuff as they have more sidewall and make it harder to damage rims.

Just some food for thought.

I have the same rims on my D3, never had problems for past 2.5 years, but you'll need 255/55R19 for a D3.. :)

I would love 17" rims but I don't want steel, is there alloy ones that you would suggest and that do fit? Thanks in advance. ;)
