The other day I pulled the heads of the D2 and found that the last mechanic who did the Auto trans job hadn't bothered to refit the breather hose clamp.
The result is the breathers has touched something hot and the ends were melted shut.
Went to Bunnings and had a look at various tubing, I ended up in the garden drip feed section and I spotted these Pope 300mm Rigid Riser
Microjets. $5 a pack of 10.
they have a threaded end that is a good fit for the original Landy breather tube. Screw in and add a bit of adhesive on the last bit of thread. I Heated up the tube in the oven to put a curve in the top.
The bracket that the tubes are held together with in the packet could also be used to spread the breather tubes.
