Stumbled across this and love the idea. I'd get one in a heart beat if I knew how. Wish I knew German! Maybe someone can help...

I like it,
VMS and others are offering off road GPS, with quality features and Maps for double din unit.
I wonder if the plastics are available with out the stereo unit.
Where did you get the info from ?

As Switzerland is part of my heritage I can help here.
Yes you can get the plastic only. Two different options. Either full replacement for a bit over $1000, or bottom part only for about $300. Pricing excludes freight.
Because of the double DIN cut out you will loose the space for the control buttons at the top. You can get a separate control panel for moving those switches, also you might need a casing for the larger unit.
Cheers,
Daniel

Seems very reasonable. Possible group buy brewing?
Daniel, I can see a new product and service line for Mulgo! ;)

You can get single din gps with various screen configs that run all the vms / hema / ozimap functiona, as well as dvd cd radio bluetooth ipod etc
im as happy as larry with mine in the TD5 , I realise my screen hangs down from the head unit but there are a lot more one din units that has the screen going up from the head that would more suit a Puma
less than $300 AU landed from china, I cant fault it. actually the best $300 I ever spent.
