Of course you realise they are not alll Series 1 - a number of the vehicles pictured are Series 2/2a, and one picture has no Landrovers at all.
But good pictures, neverless. Thanks for posting them - do you know the background?

Are you saying you couldn't see the Landy in the pic?

They are just some pics a work mate sent me.
He was involved with Venturers in the mid to late sixties and these are from a collection of photographs he has of trips up to the Victorian high country.
I thought they may be of interest to others as there are some great old pics there.

But they are not real land rovers, are they? They haven't got bull bars, 10" lift ,wide tyres ,winches ,snorkels and gear hanging off them all over.I think these pictures are faked!

Good pics!
We should have heaps ,but struggling to find them.I think taking pics & developing them was in the too hard basket in those days.
The S1 my brother now own's has been in the family since it left the factory in '56
Umm,did find one the other day,it's me,a few days old, on the way home from the hospital,in the front of the S1:eek:

Your about 30 years too young !
In those days the big ticket Landy Mods were a Canvas Water Bag hanging off the grille and for the real adventurers some rope wrapped around the bumper bar!.
nothing too impressive was ever required because in those days we walked to school.

Great lot of photos. Going by the rego numbers they would have to be taken in the mid 60s as I used to own a Morris Isis back in 64/65 and the Vic Rego on that was JBR 828. I notice the the latest plate on the rovers show one with 'a K' series plate meaning that it could not have been registered until around mid 65/66.
Good to see the old girls at work and play!

Those kids were having such a great time.
I reckon they've got those memories for as long as they live.

The K's were definetly in later 1968.
My dad had a HK Kingswood with JZX 619 and this is a pic of my 68' HK.
Didn't have a Land Rover "donk" in it either.

Cheers Mick.
