G'day all
Mine's 2008 build bought new in 2009.
Anyway, just had the OEM battery fail. Not much warning, played up a couple of weeks ago, Ok since then til today, when 7 volts was it's maximum.
The problem is the key! Push it in, not enough power to start the car or even eject the key. You're left with an unlocked car with dashboard lights on. Seriously stuck.
It gets better.
The NRMA Battery service don't have any history on this battery. Their stock code is 3375, but no RRP, no published warranty, and more to the point no stock. Hmmm.
They do have one with same dimensions, terminals in the right place & only 20 CCA diff so they will get you on the road again.
We did Sydney-Darwin-Sydney not that long ago. From now on I'll be load testing the battery before any big trip!
Regards
Max P
