Hi All

Did anyone wobble?
I heard the news of a Earthquake 300 Kilometres north of Carnarvon.

Too far away to wobble, but 5.1 mag should have woken a few people in Onslow. I wouldn't like to be on a gas platform out there.

Did not feel it here.
Good reporting 300kms North of Carnarvon = Exmouth and that is about wher it hit according to Geoscience Australia.

Just north of this earth quake is Barrow Island.
I worked on a survey vessel some years ago doing a pipe lay route survey for the Gorgon gas field.
Water depth was 900+meters, there are some cliffs that come up to 200m from this depth. Looking at video of the terrain it was obvious that these cliffs are in a continual state of collapse. The general consensus of the Geologists on board was that at some time a massive collapse could happen resulting in a massive tsunami.
