Just a quick heads up that the first of five annual 2.5 cents a litre duty has started as of Dec 1.:(
This seems to be a bit slow flowing through ( pun intended) to the bowsers at this stage, but rest assured, the refineries have applied it for deliveries since Dec 1.

12.5 c/L in 2015 is still cheaper than the excise on petrol and diesel.

But considering the extra qty of LPG burnt its quite a hit :(

But considering the extra qty of LPG burnt its quite a hit :(Don't know that's exactly true.
My 4.6 RRc dual/fuel is consistantly less than 2L/100K more than when running on petrol and petrol is usually more than double the price of LPG so running on LPG with 12c/L excise I'll still be more than $10/100K better off!

Tax, tax and even more tax:mad:That is all this pathetic Labor government knows how to do.Then they pee the revenue up against the wall on useless failed projects like pink bats, cash for clunkers, tv digi set top boxes, education revolution, BS clean energy future blah blah blah.
2 more years before this incompetent rabble can be tossed on to the political scrapheap, hopefully never to re emerge as a viable alternative government, either state or federally.

Price hasn't changed at the bowser here.
I am with you Lotza, nothing compares with 400k's from 60l of LPG in the work van:)
And it's fully loaded all day every day.......including ladders on the roof.
With the A/C on it does use a bit more though,as it does once you go faster than 100k's on a run.

The LPG excise was always part of the whole rebate scheme when introduced by The Other Lot, the Howardites. Labour has both dialled down the fitting rebate and delayed the onset of the excise (by about 18 months from memory).
Hasn't slowed my business in Adelaide at all, gas 63c and petrol $1.35 approx.

I'm no fan of Labor but this excise was introduced by the Liberal govt. It was first announced in 2004 - they were required, by law, to give 5 years advance notice. Even so, the Govt. deferred it for another couple of years.

About time you Autogas burning Cheap Charlies started to pay your way:angel:. hope the govt keeps putting it up until you are paying the same as the rest of us:eek:. Or alternatively drops the excise until all fuels are cheap once again:D. Watch out for falling pig manure.

Isn't cheap gas supposed to be an incentive to burn a cleaner fuel? A bit like light beer being cheaper than super.
