gasket?

Is there meant to be a gasket between the (rear) axle casing and hub bearing housing and/or should I use gasket goo?

Either one will work. I'd prefer to cut a gasket, though, as I wouldn't really want to backtrack that far if I found it failed. As a double-surety, I'd probably use both.
