My D4 2.7 is going in for 36000 check tomorrow. Have looked at pads on the car and there is about 7mm on the front still left, the back a little less. Anybody got an idea at what thickness the front and back pads would need changing? My dealer charges about twice as much for fitting pads as my local LR bloke so would rather get him to do it if it is necessary.
Also anybody had a chirping tailgate? Had it on my D3 and it took me ages to fix it. It was the plastic trim rubbing on the metal. Now D4 has started.. its seems to be the plastic trim on both sides of the lower tailgate.

Apart from the cruise dropping out a couple of times when resuming from a low speed to 100k and the drivers seat sinking (they have changed it once already) the car has been perfect.

Pretty easy to do the F pads yourself if you can get to a Burson or Repco. The back ones are best left to a LR Specialist. I did mine and it went a bit wrong. 3 to 4mm is getting thin. 10 Toes.

Might be easier if you had 10 fingers to go with those toes !! (Sorry just could not help it).

Nothing useful to add so please ignore
