I replaced my amp a few weeks back (see "Help - -removed radio- - now engine won't crank" (http://www.aulro.com/afvb/l322-range-rover/136852-help-removed-radio-now-engine-wont-crank.html)) and all was fine until a week ago when I noticed it had stopped.

Around the same time the Air Suspension Inactive warning popped up, and won't cancel with the usual steering wheel left-right procedure.
I have order a diagnostic cable from RSW to try and fix this asap.

But can't help wondering if the two are related!
I thought the amp was a dumb machine, but it does have a white wire can bus attached! Does anyone think it is possible the amp will start working when I reset the suspension??? Sounds crazy, but I have disassembled the amp, and it looks fine. - -if looks are much to go by.

Which amp do you have? Is it just the 'dumb' one - with one plug - running the 9 speaker system, or has it got 2 plugs - running the sub, etc? I thought as you did on this first one - that it was just straight in and straight out - I wasn't aware that the CAN was connected to these units, but I haven't pulled mine out yet to check.

It is the single plug - 9 speaker unit. But the Can does go there- - I am not sure if it actually does anything but. Soon find out, if it works after reset.

yes it does, I think its just purely a power on signal only though, which would be a bog standard 12v line in any other car, but not in the rangie/bimmers.

Ah - ok, thanks for that - it would be way to easy to run 12 volts to it too power it up...:p

Now that's got me wondering how you could power it up without the CAN... I think it would be easier to just replace the amp with something else when I start playing with the sound system.

When I get around to that upgrade, I'll post the results...
