Can anyone help me please.
I have inherrited a job of getting a 2000 model Jackaroo V6 going (6VE1/Manual).
Motor in it is knackered, lost oil pressure a week before they stopped driving it so I've been trying to chase a replacement and a reco seems to be about $3800 and there is little to guarantee it wont start burning oil again like all the other 3.5's of that era.
Holden put out a service report saying that the engine failures were due to low oil level and added that 2.5 ltrs oil consumption between 10k services was considered normal but owners should top up their oil between services.
Obviously not many people actually do this as there are plenty of dead 2000 model Jacks out there but all with buggered engines.
One of the options that was being tossed around was to put a Commodore engine in it.
Being a toy 4b anyway I have no problem with this but I can't seem to find a conversion kit to suit the V6 Rodeo/Jackaroo, only the 4 cyl models.
Do any of you conversion guru's have any ideas?
Cheers Casper
