for some reason Avira wont load on ROME MkII:confused:
so have tried Avast,,
its telling me to disable SSL/TLS in Thunderbird and the Avast Mail Scanner will take care of security,,
good?
bad?
and more to the point,,
how do I do it?

no fan of avast
most people only need the likes of MSE
and it is free.
or buy malwarebytes and run clamwin weekly

Interesting that my mate that put me onto Avast years ago now runs...
MSE instead now :D (and malwarebytes)

the playing field constantly moves
what is good in one version can be crap in the next
imho best pay one at the moment is kaspersky 2012
but many say bitdefender is, but i have seen too many conflicts with it..
for the home user malwarebytes pro and clamwin is hard to beat at the moment as well
but malwarebytes can be problematic on some boxes so try the free trial first :p
