Fast Postage

I ordered a handful of tools from England on a Monday. The date on the consignment note has them posted on Wednesday, and I got them the following Wednesday. Seven days, and this was with Fedex.

Has anyone else got stuff this fast from UK? Most other stuff I have got from UK have taken anything from 14 to 28 days.

My dad ordered 2 x wind protection screens for his merc 280SL, ordered a week ago last thursday and they arrived last thursday. I have received small electronic items in 3 days from the UK before standard post.

Yeah! Gwyn Lewis posted some stuff to my Friday morning UK time, it arrived Monday morning Aus time!
DHL did themselves proud with that delivery!

I POST loads of gear to the UK, Europe, and the USA and that is usually delivered within the week.

How is this though, I posted a large box of Christmas goodies to my relos in Victoria. I sent them from the Gold Coast on Thursday and were delivered at 2pm TODAY Sunday.

Thats, good service for Australia Post!

Best I've had was from the US, bought a (Aircraft Flight Sim) Saitek Flight Yoke with throttles pod. (Hundreds less than buying locally...)

Paid around $25 for a US Post Office Flat Rate box, my account was debited one day after ordering, and it arrived on my doorstep 7 days later. :D

Carpet mats from UK. Ordered Friday PM, delivered Tueday AM to small country post office. I was impresssed.

The postal service both ways seems to be pretty quick at the moment. I posted presents back to UK a couple of weeks ago on the Wednesday, all were received on the Saturday. Same for stuff coming to us, it's all taken less than 5 days.

Must be the Christmas staffing increases :p

Hi All

Best time I have received anything in, was from Turner engineering ( UK ), ordered Friday mid afternoon, received before 10Am Monday. :o
Just under a grands worth, including freight and the parcel was reasonably heavy, as it also contained a 300 TDi head assembly. :)

The worst time, is , I am still waiting over 12 months for parts from one company that sells on eBee, I told them in the end, if they do send the parts, they will get paid, it seems that their freight service is to Australia, but doesn't extend to Tasmania. :mad:

And if I post something from Warragul to Moe, it goes to Melbourne, back to Morwell then to Moe. I've seen mail take 6 working days to travel 32 Kilometers while actually doing around 250 Kilometers 2 Mail Centers and 2 Post Offices.
