A pretty easy fix on the floors, just got to strip it down and keep putting metal in until theres no holes.

And my mates cruiser who towed it for me, but i got the last laugh when his clutch died while towing, a bit more expensive than i thought it would be to get it home but all fun and games really.
Any and all feedback is welcome.
Shall i keep updating this thread or make a new project thread?
Cheers,
Joe

I've got one that is almost a twin to yours. Mine also came from Qld. I just got it on the road last week and whilst it's not the most comfortable car I've driven I love driving it more than any car I've owned.

Good luck getting it on the road.

Ah takes me back to my first defender. I had one very similar. Nice rig! So why did you have to tow it? Was it rego or mechanical?

It was rego in the end, i had a look at it and decided to buy 2 days after the rego expired, so couldnt even get by with a sympathetic inspector. But i would prefer it off the road to fix it, i hate having to put worn/rusty stuff back on a car to get to work the next day.

Mechanically its great, no problems in the driveline, touch wood, just got to plate a few bits on the bulkhead and itll be all happy days.

Congratulations on your purchase, I am sure you will get many years of driving out of it:)
