Hi Guys,
I'm just about to pick up a 2009 SE TDV6 Auto.
I've been trolling the Disco 3 website & discovered common gearbox failures due to Engine Coolant contamination into the Gearbox Oil Cooler.
It seems that the Gearbox Oil cooler is Co-located beside the Engine Radiator & there is "leaching " from the Radiator to the Gearbox.
This ends in pre-mature failure of the Torque convertor and the Gearbox.
It also looks like a $15,000.00 fix
It seems the fix is to add an External Oil cooler & don't use the OEM one at all.
Has anybody tried this yet ?
Comments welcome
