Just got back from Thailand (****et). There's not a lot of Land Rover's there, but we did see a few. Only saw about four series Landys that appeared to be privately owned, and one Defender at a 4x4 workshop. The Defender was a 110 with a 130 tub on the back. No pics of these as we were on the move when we saw them.
The most noticeable Landys are the one's at the elephant trekking company, Siam Safari's, you see them quite often as they pick people up from hotels etc.
I was curious to see what they had under the bonnet, but didn't get a chance. If I had to guess just from the way they sounded, I would say pre Tdi four cylinder diesel, but not the older 2.25 (they went reasonably fast:D).
Apparently the safari company is owned by a pommy guy, so he imported some Landys from home. I'm guessing they have between 5 - 10 in the fleet.
I also spotted a white shorty and what looks like an ex army trailer when we were riding the elephants.
Cheers, Murray
