Trailer indicator on panel question

Hi everyone,

New to the land rover and loving it. I have a disco 4 and have connected my trailer to it that has standard bulbs, ie not LEDs, and all the lights on the trailer work fine. However the green trailer indicator on the panel only blinks when I indicate to the left, if I indicate to the right the trailer indicator works normally but no green indicator on the disco panel.

I couldn't find any info after doing a search here so thought I'd ask if anyone have any ideas on this.

Welcome Mike & congrats.
I would start by checking the wattage of the globes in the trailer & make sure they are the same, if one is smaller it may not have enough wattage to turn on the trailer symbol.
While your at it just check the vehicle & make sure a side repeater hasnt gone out also.

Whats interesting is, that I have this exact same issue with the D2.

Doesn't seem to matter which trailer I connect either.

In the end, I put LED's on my trailers, and slept easy... :D

Thanks for the info. I'll have a look at what lamps are fitted to the trailer.
