Thanks for all the help so far--
just had 8 trouble free days away thanks to your advice ;)
So the original GEL storage batt will get the flick, replaced by a twin to the other one,, so thats all good.
so that still gives me around two hundred amphrs to play with.
I will be getting a 12v Engal upright fridge to replace a dead dometic,,
so now I have a 24 hour 12v fridge to run, it's max draw is only 3.3a but I have no idea as to what that will actually be over 24 hours.
My solar system puts in around the high 50's during a day, buts that on a GEL setting, (it often takes an hour to really start amping up)
The inside lights are all LEDS, and that leaves just the telly, radio and laptop to power.
Do I need to keep the gel as a third batt?
should I anyway?
[though this negates all the "dissimilar batteries" discussions]
and if I dont need it--
what could I use it for?
[ no,, not in the disco;)--]
