Hi guys,
I have decided it is time for me to start a new thread on the restoration of my 1958 series 2. There are pics on my other thread called ' My first Landy' , but it looks a little different now, and the school holidays are allowing for me to do more work on it, anyway here are some pictures.
Enjoy.

The car at the moment.

The original 2 litre engine (thanks to Bulletproof for all the help)

I hope to keep this thread updated.

Thanks

Hi Ned
That looks like a very solid truck with no rust. You will never regret the time spent on restoring it.

To have one with the original engine makes it very rare and collectable.

Have you found any more numbers or dates ? Everything is dated on a Landrover and the more you can find the more valuable it is.

PM me if you want to know where to find them.

Cheers Richard

G'day Ned260,
Looks like a great project, good luck with it. Nice to see it still has the 2 litre. :)

Have you seen Shonky's 58? ---> http://www.aulro.com/afvb/projects-tutorials/54687-shonkys-58-series-ii-swb.html

Last I heard his is in "mothballs" but may be of interest for you.
