I am about to purchase a 2005 D3 TDV6 and based on what I read here I expect to have some problems with wiring to my caravan.
At present my caravan has a 12 pin Flat connector, which is really a 7 pin and a 5 pin.
I expect to wire the 7pin as normal, connected to the 7pin black plug on the disco, to give me my standard wiring to drive lights, and the standard power to van accessories. I do have all LED lights in the caravan though.....should I expect problems here? I think from what I have read here that the converter from Supercheap is the best option, although I will need to change my existing caravan plug.
I expect to use the 5 pin white plug on the disco to provide the services which most use an Anderson plug for.....charging the van battery, and to bring the wire from the caravan rear camera back to the car. I assume this will mean some reconnecting anyone had experience with this?
