Thank Christ Ron, that site would send you into an early grave with all the spelling and grammar mistakes. :D
I check it out occasionally, but I seriously have trouble reading some of the posts due to the way some people 'write'.

Haha, well yes, I guess I am!!! :p
On MR but it sems as evrie 2rd post is ilegibl like, u kno :wasntme:
Here, you can generally get through a thread without needing an interpreter.
Obviously, not wanting to 'generalise', it's certainly not all bad on MR.

Are you still dark on them not letting you run with them Brenno. They just didn't want to be shown up by something that's not a Troll.
Love to see the video Chris.

It was unlocked the S3 did the creek one way and then in the reverse direction he might have had to have a couple of bites at a few things but he did it,
The trolls seem to think 35" tyres twin lockers are required , I reminded them that they have been running large tyres and lockers for too long and had forgotten what could be acheived in a near standard car without big tyres

About two years ago I was taken out past Yarra Glen somewhere to a place termed the "Staircase" (?) by two mates in their lifted, locked, big tyred Patrols,,
A Cruiser (same "beefed up" condition) ventured up before them, then I followed in my "little D1" (2" lift and 31" MTZ's are the only mods as such).
All the vehicles struggled up,, but geez i felt proud when standing around at lunchtime, and the boys realised I was unlocked and only on 31's,,, :D
Theres just no substitute for a quality vehicle,,

Some people just have big egos IMO, still comes down to the skill of the driver not the vehicle although it does help on occasion, but then I'm biased:)
Looking at that track it wouldn't be hard to do on 31's if you drove it correctly and pick the right lines, etc..

I have video evidence of my old 2 dr rangie getting up rocky track on 31" mud retreads and 2" lift- a lot of bouncing and scraping but up all the same.

No the Staircase and the Rocky track are 2 different tracks altogether. Staircase is off Marginal Road, and Rocky Track is directly off Melba Highway about 100metres or so from marginal road turnoff
Bill.

Rocky Track will be the one then,, we crossed over the big new water pipe line, then basically straight up the hill,,
Wheel placement was the key factor, and there was still quite alot of wheel spin etc (the smoke).
Still, the guys I was with, and a couple of others whom stayed at the bottom, took the chicken track and met us again up the top, reckon the old girl did alright getting up there on thje 31's,,

Although I live only 5km from Toolangi, I haven't been to Rocky Track since before the pipeline was put in.
The degree of difficulty would vary greatly, depending on weather and how many rocks that 4wd groups would toss out to the sides to make things easier:angrylock:. I spent 5 hours one day tossing all the rocks back in to restore the challenge, only to find a lot of them tossed out again a couple of weeks later:mad:.
But yes, competently driven RRCs on 31''s without lockers do surprisingly well there as I've witnessed on a few occasions.
