Rcently chnaged tyres on my 130 from 235/85 to 255/85 so VERY marginally larger diameter.

When I go over a bump as the suspension compresses I can hear a noise which I as almost certainly the tyres rubbing on the inside of the guard.
It's annoying.
1. Should I care?
2. What would be casuing it?
3. What posible courses of action to remedy it?

front or rear rubbing? My 130 has the HCPU tray the 285s i run dont come close, but the fronts catch the bottom lip of the flares on bumps with a bit of turn on the steering, only enough to make a noise and not cause any damage, this is with standard height springs. BTW my 285s are MTZs and i have messured them up against some other 285s are they are much larger and wider for some reason, they stand just as tall as my 255s which are supposed to be 1/2in taller but alot wider.

why dont you stick your ugly big head under the truck and see if you can see the shiny bits?

3. What posible courses of action to remedy it?1. Obviously not enough
2. Bigger tyres making contact with the body somewhere
3. Fit smaller tyres, fit body lift kit, fit bigger offset wheels, spend $$$

Oh, front tyres.

Inc - what shiny bits? It's probably the flares.

Hi Vlad, what wheels have you got on, remember the 130's are supposed to have a 30mm greater offset than normal Defender rims.

I've been running 255/85's on the HD rims for years (three sets of tyres now) and don't have any rubbing problems ;)

That's a bit harsh... I don't think Mike's head is big. :p

FWIW, I never really noticed any rubbing on the wagon. Not that it wasn't there, just that I can't remember noticing it
