I have been trying to get to the drive in for the past month and something keeps coming up to stop me going! Weather depending I might see you there.

the weather has never been a problem, I take a tarp and some heavy stuff most of the time, if it starts raining I just tarp up and keep on going.
If we get 4 or 5 cars worth of people going I'll take the bigger tarp with me and the weather can go get knotted.

There's >1 screen?
I would have thought a Defender was NOT an ideal drive in car.

That was the plan, black widow draw makes it flat and with no roof the view isnt restricted at all!

Franken rover was very quickly retrofitted with a rearwards facing rangie rear seat. It fit very neatly fit over the sponsons and folded flat under the tarp with enough room for some blankets behind it, some camp chairs, the camp cooker and a few other sundries. Almost as fast as you can say "is that an engle in there and did you wire up a car stereo in a can for the back" that was done too.
drive ins were fun and Im still trying to convince SWMBO that Fozzy's the go for this weekend as the rangie seat will fit nicely in that too.

One of the good things about Drive-in's is the carparking taken care of;):Rolling:
