Rear Drawer Options for 110 Puma

I have been casting around for options for rear cargo drawers in my Puma 110. There are lots of alternatives on the market but DRIFTA offer by far the best price.

The big difference with Drifta compared to the others seems to be that the drawers are not support by runners or rails, but by polythene rubbing strips under each drawer.

Whilst this is simple and less prone to failure or rattling, I'm not sure how well it would support the load of a fully open drawer full of tools and recovery gear etc.

Has anyone had any experience with these drawers? Any comments would be appreciated.

in my experiance only steel rails with bearing runners will go the distance
most cheap items are cheap for a reason

I don’t know the model of draws you are talking about BUT
as you said less rattling about, the weight is sitting directly below and not on the side, they take up less space than a rail, and in my case has served me well and the two previous owners.

The only trick is to give them a wipe every year and rub a bit of soap on them.

I saw a couple vans fitted with them on a trip far north in 2010. I was impressed. Depends what you want to put in them...I've never needed to carry a tradie in a fully extended drawer:eek::wasntme:
Apart from being lighter on the wallet they're also a damnedside less weight than steel... the polyethylene/teflon strips work very well if kept clean.

i have a drifter kitchen and storage box in my 130 tub.........the ones in your 110 will be shorter, don't be worried about them about holding the load as my storage box has a 32L fridge, two camp ovens and a heap of other gear

I looked around for drawers for my 110 puma and settled on the dolium Gomo storage boxes as I wanted to be able to remove the whole unit without too much trouble. They are 4 plastic boxes on a steel sliding system, the advantage is that The separate boxes can be removed from the vehicle, I put a marine ply top over the drawers and now have a full flat area across the rear cargo area.100,000km later and a heap of off road flogging they are still working a treat.
