Puma beep. Have a stab.

I have developed a mysterious single beep coming from in or near the instrument cluster in my 08 puma.

It occurs mainly when I am slowing right down to stop at lights or to go around a corner and occasionally when the motor is running but the car is stationary. Doesn't always happen but is happening more and more. Kind of sounds like the low fuel warning but is much shorter in duration. A quick single beep.

Ive searched all over and can't find anything on the web that describes exactly the same issue. It's starting to drive me nuts so if you can help, myself and those around me will thank you.

What is it? Any ideas?

Maybe yours is fitted with a rear main seal failure alarm....I had to crawl under mine to find out.

Lou. Good idea, I'll try and record it.

Tombie. Not a problem, everyone knows cut any wire except for the red one and it will diffuse the bomb.

Scallops. The rear main seal seal alarm sounds more like a scream of rage. This is just a beep.
