I have a 300 tdi to which I would like to fit an lpg kit, can anybody tell me about the various systems that are avalible please?
I had a kit fitted to a 300tdi before which I bought from alisport in the UK it was very good but very expensive for what I got, just a electric shut off valve and a little block gizmo that added the gas when boost came on. At more than £600 I thought that was a bit steep so I am looking for something a bit more versatile and cheaper.

Thanks

Dave

Since your 300tdi has no electronic stuff ( which is a good thing), any lpg kit will be as simple as the one you had before. However, here in Aust, there are more regs concerning gas, which means the price is roughly the same as what you paid before. DIESEL GAS AUSTRALIA (http://www.dieselgasaustralia.com.au/) is probably the best Australian site and can give you some ideas on what is around.

Most of the LPG fumigation systems I am aware of are electronically controlled as they mostly have to meet stringent emissions requirements. The simplest one I know of in Australia is the Eco-Shot system which uses boost pressure to activate gas flow. There are other ways to enable fumigation but you need to know what you are doing as overdosing on LPG is quite harmful to your engine.

I suggest some searching on ebay.com and google to see what is available.
