Mildly venomous but not considered dangerous and are very reluctant to bite.

Here ya go
Pale-headed Snake, Hoplocephalus bitorquatus
Kurrowah Qld
This snake was found on the trunk of an Angophora, photographed in situ at night. These venomous snakes feed mainly on frogs
and lizards. They are adept climbers, usually sheltering in tree hollows during the day. They are listed as vulnerable in NSW where
they are rarely encountered. They are threatened by habitat destruction through tree-clearing and road-building.

Hi Didiman
You can identify that snake, as the shape of the scale plates on its head are specific to it's species.

Hello from Brisbane.
Can't help you here.
But, if no one knows for sure, ring the Qld Museum info service. They are an excellent source of advice for identifying most things dead or alive.
Cheers,

Three possibilities:
Yellow-naped Snake (Furina barnardi): pale area on neck usually not as distinct as in your specimen
Pale-headed Snake (Hoplocephalus bitorquatus): rear margin of pale patch usually rimmed by black line that is sometimes broken; also tends to be arboreal
White Crowned Snake (Cacophis harriettae): white usually distinctinct, extending around the margins of the head
The later seems most likely.
Cheers
