Found this old guide to Land Rover expeditions in PDF format. Haven't seen it before, so thought it was worth posting up.
I think it is from 1974 from the reference notations at the end of the booklet (it has logos of Britsh Leyland on it, and mentions Triumph Rover if that gives any hints).
Might be of interest if you have an older (leaf sprung) LR to see what the factory was recommending regarding Diesel vs Petrol, what to take, sponsorship, maps & so on.
