Just had my first D4 3l service at 6k. Can't let it run to 26k for its first service.
They stopped the mirrors from folding in. I have purchased some large windshields for the front doors, and the mirrors decided to go a few rounds with the Perspex.....mirrors were going to lose so removed the windshields until fixed.
Miraculously the NAV key now appears on the centre screen. I never purchased the NAV option as factory fit units from my experience have been poor. But when I press it, it gives the usual caution message, then "navigation initialising please wait"......so I keep waiting but nothing happens.
Guess just a glitch having them partly instal it, but not the important bits.
Asked them to look at adjusting fuel economy to show the truth....they did not know what I was talking about, so I explained to them why and showed them my records. They did some diagnostic check, and told me that the car was spot on....they told me in other words that I can't keep records and stuffed up. Today's land rovers are very frugal according to the service manager.
$432.....not bad for a dealer service for an oil change, and whatever else that they tick on the service sheet.
