Not hard to track down Dave...
Gentleman by the name of Domenic Carosa from DOMAIN FOLIO 1 PTY LTD looks like a good place to start.
I would have thought he would have difficulty demonstrating how aulro .com.au fits the rules...
"The domain name you order will need to be an exact match, acronym or abbreviation of the supplied business registration, or it should bear a close and substantial connection to the domain name."
Their website looks..how should I say.... slippery?
http://dominet.com.au
Good luck - I hate these tools that sit on domain names like this.
Exactly why work own and pay for about 15 domains they never use...purely for brand protection.

 good grief.....
Based on the company name, the products they sell or any other associated companies I could find through ASIC, I can't see for the life of me how the current owner can possibly be eligible.
Maybe the the auDA employee that responded should read their own website where it outlines the conditions of elegibility for .com.au domains:
auDA > auDA Published Policies > Domain Name Eligibility and Allocation Policy Rules for the Open 2LDs (2008-05) (http://www.auda.org.au/policies/auda-2008-05/)
In particular:
SCHEDULE C
ELIGIBILITY AND ALLOCATION RULES FOR COM.AU
The com.au 2LD is for commercial purposes.
The following rules are to be read in conjunction with the Eligibility and Allocation Rules for All Open 2LDs, contained in Schedule A of this document.
1. To be eligible for a domain name in the com.au 2LD, registrants must be:
a) an Australian registered company; or
b) trading under a registered business name in any Australian State or Territory; or
c) an Australian partnership or sole trader; or
d) a foreign company licensed to trade in Australia; or
e) an owner of an Australian Registered Trade Mark; or
f) an applicant for an Australian Registered Trade Mark; or
g) an association incorporated in any Australian State or Territory; or
h) an Australian commercial statutory body.
2. Domain names in the com.au 2LD must be:
a) an exact match, abbreviation or acronym of the registrant’s name or trademark; or
b) otherwise closely and substantially connected to the registrant.
( I can't see any update on their site of this poilcy - so I assume it is still current.)
Good luck, sounds like you need to find a bureaucrodozer! :p

Truly amazing...
I'm obviously a bit thick....cause the wording I posted above - copied straight off their site seems crystal clear to me....
But then I'm no lawyer obviously
So I guess you wait for some logical outcome...... when was that next blue moon due???
