my local bottle shop keeps asking me do i want a reciept when i buy a carton of beer, i say yes, because if the beer gives me a headache in the morning i can return the un drunk portion for a full refund, as i am not satisfied with the product. hope this helps beer drinkers everywhere.

Don't forget to lodge a complaint about the ugly woman you woke up with after drinking their product.

I believe he is referring to the payment for said airconditioning work,
when I was living in ANDAMOOKA a very regular payment system worked thus,
Me: so can you fix it?
mech: yep, I think I can but it'll cost you 1 and parts.
(this is generally accepted to be One carton (unless brand specified assumed to be west end) and price of parts..
or for another brand (and more expensive)
Me: so can you fix it?
mech: yep, I think I can but it'll cost you 2 crownies and parts.
(eg cost is two cartons of carlton crowns and cost of parts)
it is a simple and yet very effective method of "trade".
(HOPE THAT HELPS!)

(PS it is frowned upon topay with "hot" cartons (eg non refrigerated) )

I didn't know anyone drank West End!
I used to drink beer until I moved to Cedana in 1969. Then I found out that SA didn't sell drinkable beer.
But I found they did make nice red wine!
I rarely drink beer now. SA turned me off it and my subsequent transfer to Carnarvon in WA left me in the same predicament of no decent beer available.

It's just a prank we pull on interstaters.
A bit like Fosters on the international market.

That's if you didn't gnaw or cut your arm off prior to the ugly woman waking ('the coyote shag'), then it's just the medical bills.
