View Full Version : Re The Well Priced HSE D4 Post

I know I broke the rules putting up a advert for that D4 in this section, but from what I have seen it is not every day you see a HSE D4 with only 32k on the clock for just over 60k for sale and chances are it will sell reasonably quickly.
That being what is likely to happen I considered that most members who are interested in D3/4's look in this section on a far more regulr basis rather then the 'Markets' section so it would alert more members much quicker then puuting the link up else where.

Sorry for breaking the rules, hope some Aulro member ends up with what looks like a good buy.

cheers,
Terry

Sorry Terry, if I see stuff in the wrong area, it gets moved.

You D3/D4 owners need to range further afield in the forum. :D

I have been checking out various late model luxury end cars for sale on Carpoint recently and there are some excellent bargains around.

Plus dealers are offering nothing for trade ins so if someone needs to sell something thats fairly new then they often have to sell it for next to nothing or not sell it at all.

Re moving the post, no problems Ron.

cheers,
Terry

I inquired about this very vehicle. Was sceptical as the same vehicle was advertised in two different places, two different people. The first ad was for $89K in Mooloolaba (still is), that one is legitimate(for that price he's dreamin'). I inquired about the derby storage of the cheap one(yeah, sure), the different name and location AND price of the vehicle(very confusing). Got back that biggest cock and bull story you've ever heard (dead uncle's will; stored in derby; free delivery anywhere in Oz....) I contacted this owner of the expensive one to see if he was aware . He had just discovered the Hoax and it was taken off the website. Moral of the story, If it looks too good to be true, it usually is!!!

Actually, i just found the Hoax reply i got, here it is FYI.....

Thank you for the interest showed in my car, and sorry for the late reply but I have just moved to England with my job. Don't worry though, the car is still there in Australia, stored at a transport company in Derby, WA. This car was left to me in my uncle's will, and to be honest I never owned a car before and I don't even have a driver license, but I can assure you it runs as great as it looks, my uncle loved this car, took great care of it. The price I am asking is $61.500 and it includes shipping anywhere in Australia. Because of this situation, me being in UK, I have made special arrangements that allow me to sell the car there without me being present, so if you are still interested in it please email me back so I can explain to you how can this be done safely for both of us.

Here are some pics of the car: http://img846.imageshack.us/slideshow/webplayer.php?id=96306964.jpg

Cheers

PS: please get back to me soon as I have 3 other people very interested!

Well if its dodgy its dodgy sorry for putting it up, always seams a bit odd to me why anyone would pay money and go to the trouble of listing adverts for a hoax, bit hard to rip people off when it comes to selling cars like this in this price range unless potential buyers are basically stupid. Still stranger things have happened.

cheers,
Terry

Only have to look closely to establish car is QLD reg, photos are Qld, why is the car in WA storage.

Why do these idiots always make it so clear that something's iffy.;) Their not even good at it.

Mmmm I'm pretty sure I saw this advertised a few months ago. In the ad it said that my wife was an interior designer and was to big for her or something along those lines, hence the number plates.....now a different story......mmmmmm strange

I live in Derby so if anyone wants me to check it out for them, just let me know. BTW there aren't any D3/D4's around here. My D1 is one of the few Land Rovers in town. Although I hope to have a D3 in the driveway within the next 12 months

Has to be a scam. A dealer style photo in a private lsiting? Either someone very lazy or a scammer.
