Found a few nice D3's but all without a towpack fitted (why!?). Any ideas on approx pricing to get one fitted?
Cheers.

r u sure. have you looked under the plastic rear bumper for the hitch mount and in the rear boot for the ball and hitch - it should be there - the dreaded plough.
Alternatively, and better is a mitchells hitch which will fix to the rear revcovery point mounted under the rear plastic bumper cover which is removed with a 20c coin.

New one on me ? I am no expert but have just bought a D3, looked at as many as I could, they all had "Tow packs" as you call it. Not all had electric brake controllers tho.
I assumed that it was a standard fitting ?? no not the brake controller the tow pack !

AFAIK D3's and D4's all have the receiver part in the chassis, this is built into the chassis, when we bought the D4 it also had this and the newer type of tongue receiver in the boot, however this didnt come with a tongue which is how they sting you, in the earlier cars they might have hd the 'plow' as an option, but don't quote me on this, all cars should haev the electrics there too

All D3's come with the hitch & tow electrics as standard.
The only part that has to be purchased is the tongue/ball assembly.
As you are looking at 2nd hand vehicles original owners may have lost/left in the shed/misplaced the original equipment.
If it is an "S" model then the kit will be under a cover in the load space floor fitted into a foam cutout box stored nicely.
If it is any other model then the hitch will be located in the l/h/s of the load space area behind a plastic hatch.
The opposite side has the jack & tool assemblies.
HTH
Cheers.

Apologies, wasn't thinking when I wrote it. Yeah meant the actual tongue and ball section.
