G,day.
I have been reading many threads discussing wheel and tyre sizes for later model Landies and Range Rovers on our Forum.
I noticed on the BFG website that they have a couple of AT 20 inch sizes listed.
I have not seen any references to them in the above mentioned threads !!
Why ? Are they available or not ? Bob Jane lists them on his website !!
I have used BFG AT's on my Disco for yonks and would not use anything else.
I dont have a 20 inch wheel yet but I am thinking about a later model
L322 or Vogue. More than likely to have 20 inch rims.
I would not use the vehicle for extreme off road but across country.
For instance, from my location when I travel to the Alice, occasionally, I go via The Plenty Hwy or Birdsville track and up thru Oodnadatta.
I would think that these 20 inch BFG AT's would be ideal tyres on these type of roads ?
If they are not freely available here, can they be imported ?
I am amazed that I have not seen any reference to them here.

Cheers.
Robert.

Bet they are not LT rated which is what you need. They don't do 18's in LT either.

I dont think they have been mentioned as I do not believe they would fit easily onto a late model LR, could possibly fit with the soeme form of lift and cutting though.

The smallest 18 I saw was 265/65/18 at 31.7" and the smallest 20 was 285/55/20 at 32.5".

As Chris mentioned above, you will end up with a 32" tyre (at least) which won't fit under the guards without getting the grinder out - I doubt SWMBO would be too keen on me doing that., even if you could find one that gave you the correct diameter, I doubt they would be too good - the issue I found in the bush last weekend on 20" rims, wasn't any traction issues - it was dry, but more that there wasn't much between the tread and the rim. I think the rims would suffer big time if I continued to use them like that - I need something smaller for mine now - I was thinking 18", but that looks like I may be limiting things as well.

Anyway, they are months away for me yet - when Wombat SF gets a bit muddier again like it should be...:p

Hmm. If you cant get good rubber for the silly things and are restricted to the black top, there is not much point in buying one.
I am too old and couldn,t be bothered fixing puntures all the time.
With the AT,s on my Disco, I have never had a punture or tyre trouble.
I might be better off buying a P38, like me Bro did and install a Bruce
Davis 5 litre engine. His is very nice.

They're BFG ATs but the listing doesn't say LT.

I wonder how they would go off road anyway?
