I'm pretty sure ExxonMobil have been developing Micro Algae jet fuel for roughly 10 years. They have even flown a commercial airliner on it.

IT WOULD BE GREAT TO BE ABLE TO GROW YOUR OWN FUEL.

i did a youtube look a while back and there is plenty of people experimenting with just that.

but the future fuel will always be in my humble opinion, some thing that drives an electric motor.

hydrogen, or another source that can use water for eg.

the dictatorial grip of capitalism must fall before inventions and inventors can come out and play.

ie the future engine will not need mining and wars and oil, but growing your own will be the step in that direction i predict.

"But which plants have the highest yield of oil per acre? One of the highest yielding conventional plants is Chinese Tallow (with 2646 litres per acre) but by far the winners are certain species of algae that can yield more than 37,00–56,00 litres of oil per acre."

so you need one acre of land for your years supply of oil.

sounds like deal.

some of you may know that the first commercial flight made from bio-diesel was made today, from sydney to Adelaide i think

Yes and incorrectly reported as running cooking oil by those pretending to be journalists.

Was a product of human waste I believe is the correct source of the 50% mix.

Would I have flown that flight - nope!

it wasnt made totally on Bio-Tur... half of the engines were running bio-Tur, half of the engines were running Dino-tur.

The story I was getting from the Aircraft whackers (who were asking me a lot of questions about how I run my bio) is that the jet was configured to not be able to cross level tanks but that every engine could be fed from both tanks.

The conversation was pretty much the high point of today as no parts ordering could be achieved and no-one broke anything.

"Aircraft whackers!"

now that is one hell of a bushwacken slapstick!

now i dont believe that the plane crashed, so what that means for us is that land rovers may one day be fitted with blade-less turbines?

bio-diesel? I didnt know there were any diesel engined commercial aeroplanes. Do you know what type it was? Very interested.
