I have someone from Europe (the Nehterlands) wanting to buy some Landrover parts. I personally feel it may be a scam but will give them the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise (why not source them in the UK where they are surely more plentiful but postage is cheaper).
We would be talking about 3 or 4 fairey overdrives on a pallet, so about 100 - 120kg give or take a little for the pallet, packaging and the cubic weight. The cheapest I could find with signature and insurance was close to $600, the guy seems to think this is a bit high (well it is but you have to expect it isn't going to be cheap) and wants to know if it can be freighted for around $150. I don't think this is likely but I'll put it out there - has anyone used any bargain basement shippers by slowest method possible to send heavy items overseas? Something like sea mail which takes about 6 weeks to arrive? Any helpful tips would be appreciated.
