Hi, i have a '95 Disco V8 on lpg with manifold tanks in the back.
The problem is they only hold around 55l and give me 220km range:(
I am thinking of getting some belly tanks with 70l (usable) and joining the tanks together to give me 125l of lpg and 35l petrol (will add sill tanks later).
Can the tanks be joined together?
Will this work?

You can run as many tanks as you can securely mount and plumb according to AS1425. I strongly recommend not running a 3 tanks off the same filler though, the two underneath tanks are bad enough at overfilling off one filler. This is because the filling flow is shared between two tanks and may not be enough to trip the AFL valves at 80% level.

All tanks must plumb to the engine via non-return valves so lpg cannot flow from one tank to another. There are standard "T" connector valves used in twin tank installs, you would need an extra non return valve for the 3rd tank.

Your number plate must also carry as many red diamond marker plates as the number of gas tanks you have fitted.
