Was driving along Minogue Cresent Glebe last night, first time in a couple of years.

Shock Horror,

Harold Park raceway is now a Mirvac redevelopment site, a little further along, :D

Desolation,

the Glebe Tram Sheds are also under demolition probably for the same Mirvac development (another Museum that never went ahead). :( :(

and

then

Armageddon!

a P38a parked at the side of the road with the flatest of flat tyres you've ever seen, just like the ones you find on old landies parked up for decades.

I felt I should door knock everyone in the street so I could adopt the unloved one! :BigCry:

You should. You never know - they just might give it to you.

I have a more palatable theory:
It is somebody's pride and joy, living in a climate controlled garage around Mosman or Vaucluse when not turning heads along the leafy boulevardes where lesser 4WD's move aside as it passes.
The owner, partly deaf due to cranking up the HK stereo, does not hear the "Key in ignition" warning as he/she exits the P38 to duck in to the bottle-o for a couple of bottles of chardy and Moet.
Drug dealers or other ne'er-do-wells pounce on the opportunity to scoot off with a real luxury 4wd to perform antisocial and illegal activities.
The Police, unable or unwilling to maintain pace with the English beauty, set up road spikes on the ANZAC Bridge to end the pursuit.
The spikes merely puncture the tyres rather than shred them, and the villians abandon the vehicle in Glebe... wondering why WRX's were so popular as ram-raid vehicles.
Modify to suit your own taste. The thought of an abandoned P38 is an insult to the breed.

Cheers, Paul.
