Hi All,
After much searching on Forums and talking to Landy techs
I was coming to the conclusion that it would be very difficult to get a cruise control for my MY2012 Defender Puma 2.2 without fitting some switch that should be missing to the clutch?
Aussie www.autron.com.au said they had one that would work and it does - perfectly.
Installed by Welcome to No Limit (http://www.nolimitelectronics.com.au/)
Cheers,
Michael

The Flyby Wire model. I think they can only deliver one model that works.

I am about to fit the Autron. I contacted the company and they put me on to one of their suppliers and fitters. $880 fitted in Melbourne.

About the same in Brisbane as well. Have had it a while now and love it. Never had it drop out. only complaint would be that the controller is only held on with double sided tape and has started to sag which shows the wires. In fact if you look closely in the pic which was taken before I fixed it, you can see that the wires hole is just showing.

I took the back off and with a bit of mucking around, tapped an M3 thread into the backing and then recessed a bolt in so it doesn't interfer with the circuit board. Then I drilled the dash and have bolted it on using some double sided tape on the side to fill in the gap as the dash has a slight curve in it where mine is mounted.

See how that goes becasue it was only a matter of time before I had it dangling from the dash on a trip.

nugget,
i used 3M VHB double sided tape to attach my remote head UHF to the dash, it has not moved in 5 years. Great stuff the VHB, have loads of it in the shed.
Your dash set up looks tops, do you have any trouble with movement of the touch screen?

I have the Autron by wire cruise control in my 2010 110. The installer recommended a small stem behind the wiper stem. It works fine and you dont need to sticky tape it on and is much more accessible than on the dash.

Not sure what they used but it started to get the sag /slide thing going. All fixed now though I reckon.

No movement in the touchscreen. It is bolted onto a bracket which bolts to the tube which runs through the dash and is also bracketed back to the bulkhead.

I was given that option as well and gave it close consideration but I thought it looked a bit flimsy the way it was mounted..probably wrong but I am more of a button sort of a guy anyway.:D

The position is pretty convenient as the distance from the steering wheel to the dash is not exactly huge even for my short stubby fingers...:D Probably 6 of 1 and hlaf a dozen of the other but glad yours is working for you which is what matters. Cheers

Email Autron through their web site and they will put you in touch with the nearest supplier. Mine was in Port Melbourne, but I have lost the details.

Sydney guys, Davies Performance Landies does a neat cruise package, it is fixed to the side of the centre of steering wheel. Looks factory option.
Ask for Bruce.

A quick update on Autron cruise control with stem controller. It is still working fine and is quite sturdy, not at all flimsy.

The guy who is fitting my Autron has rung me and told me they are very difficult to do and that Autron have told him there is no 2.2 engine . I am a bit worried about this not sure if I want this guy attacking wires in my car.:o
