As my Defender is nearing the end of its warranty in a few months, I am looking to take my Puma to someone I can trust, that knows about Defenders (particularly having experience with the Puma), and does a great job.

I don't know JC down in Tas, but based on what I have read on this site, it almost makes me want to hop on the Ferry! (Almost JC)

Can someone recommend someone in Melbourne - happy to travel for the right place.

Currently thinking Les Richmond Automotive or Ritters?

Open to suggestions.

Nigel

Would be worthwhile talking to Fred Smith in Bayswater, none better ( in Vic JC;)) IMHO.
Not sure where he stands on Puma's, he may not have the diagnostics, but seems to be fully booked nonetheless..

That is the only problem with Fred, you have to book well in advance to get a service done. But if something needs doing he'll get you around ASAP.

I know JC, and if I were you I would plan a short holiday to tassie...

Penisula Rangie, Again you have to book in early it usually takes me about 2 weeks to get in.

I have been to a few other RR mechanics and Penisula Rangie is the best by a long way. Also they are close to you just in kookaburra st frankston.

It appears there are not many top mechanics in Melbourne?

I have noted the 2 from other members in this thread.

Any comments on Ritters?
