Well gang this is it...Friday and my last sleep before getting the new D4. In the end I decided to go with the 2.7 vs the 3.0. The power was noticeable but I'm not a lead foot driver anyways. I did think about it when it came to towing but we will only be towing a tent trailer no heavier than 1500 kgs.
It will be Orkney grey, hi line audio, xenon lights with led signature, 7 seats leather and rear AC. I really was thinking of getting the e diff but I'm not that serious an off road driver that I thought I could get away with it especially if upgrading to more aggressive off road tyres when camping. The big decider for me is the fact that the limits of 19" wheels and the lack of options available for tyres. I know there are some getting some 18" wheels specially made but could not go through the hassle or the cost. I will more than likely get some 17's with mud terrians.
One of the first options will be to get an arb bull bar, still undecided on steel or alloy? Then long range tank and rear bar. Has anyone ever looked at putting a tubular structure underneath the stock rear end but in such a way that it is slightly exposed so that if you do rub the ground it will hit the tubular structure before the plastic?
I've reading up on llams system and looks like a great idea.
Now just have to talk the miss us into all of this....lol good thing she is getting her eternity ring this year.
Will take pictures and post when back in Emerald.
On a side note I did try 3 dealers first before I found one that wanted to sell me a D4. Every time when you ask them to call you back and they don't, it's like they expect you to work for their business.
Anyways found a dealer that I'm happy with.
Cheers:cool:
