Hi,
I posted a thread late yesterday re: the Victorian 4WD show, mainly to thank those involved.
Where did this thread go and why?
Cheers, Craig

It was moved Craig.

Here it is in Victorian Reports ...

No worries Les.
Thought I may have broken one of the golden rules.

Cheers, Craig

D3/D4 owners often post in the D3/D4/RRS area rather than in the correct area. :wasntme:

Yeah - I was wondering why it was posted in the RRS/D3/D4 section when the tread had nothing to do with a RRS/D3/D4.

So, a 4wd show put on by Landrover featuring Landrovers and doing demonstrations in Landrovers has nothing to do with a D3, D4 or RRS? WTF ???????
Is it just me that's dumb? ;)

Evidently...

You may not realise it, but Landrover was around for ~50 years before the D3...

(but then, many D4/RR owners would be in the same boat as you):wasntme:

I must be really dumb. My original post was purely to mention was a great day it was.
Nothing to do with Landrovers history.

I think you may have missed my point.

And whomever moved your post, decided that it was more relevant to the wider (Victorian?) Landrover community than to D3/4 owners.

Zackly, Ben.

The show was in the Upcoming Events area and, after the event, someone started a report in the correct area of Victorian Reports - so I merged them.

The area into which Disco4SE had posted is for purely D3/D4/RRS topics, not general posts, etc. That is why one will occasionally find other non-D3/D4/RRS specific threads have been moved.

Thanks Ron B. What you were saying makes sense, but to be told it has nothing to do with a D3, D4 or RRS ...........and be given a history lesson as well, is BS.
Now that I am aware of the other sections, I'll know better where to place posts.

Cheers, Craig

Maybe you need to look around the forum more, Craig, and not limit yourself to D3/D4/RRS.

No you are not dumb at all.

If the show was just on the D3/D4/RRS then fine - but it was a general 4wd show so the post should have been posted in the general area or where it was moved - reports section.

You posted in the Pinnacles.

The Pinnacles (http://www.aulro.com/afvb/pinnacles/) A section with forums for chat about specific vehicle models.

I forgot to say I moved it with an 10 hour expiring redirect so that anyone looking for it in the D3/D4/RRS area in that 10 hour period would have been directed to the new thread.

I also refer you to para. 5 of the sticky that is at the top of every section: http://www.aulro.com/afvb/d3-d4-rrs/82620-nb-where-has-my-thread-gone.html
