I know that the guards are compatible and will fit, but the thing about a 2A is the lights in the centre. If I wanted lights on the guard, I would have a S3.
My S2A guards are shot, and I have access to a set of good S3 guards. I know I can un-bolt and replace the outer section, but it would seem as tho I can't use the top section as they are fixed to the front (with lights) panel by weld spots.
My question: Is it possible to use S3 guards WITHOUT the front section that has the lights and retain the top and front inner panel? I expect that all the spot weld joints would have to be broken and replaced with ugly rivets!??!

Three things spring to mind:
1. If your 2A is a late one, the lights in the guards will be correct and it may devalue it to change them given the relative scarcity.
2. If it was made with lights in the guards then it will be illegal to remove them, as it was made to comply with the Australian Design Rules.
3. If you drill out the headlamp panel, you can glue in a replacement panel using Sikaflex Adhesive. The spot welds can be faked by sanding circular depressions into the filler used on the holes,
