The things you see whilst it is pouring rain, in the lane next to you, stopped at traffic lights.

It appeared to be a brand new luxury camper conversion by SLR caravans.. Not quite visible in the photo is the company logo. EDIT: A well sorted out 300tdi

this ought to give you defender owners inspiration.

It appears to be a brand new luxury camper conversion by SLR caravans - on a defender. Not quite visible in the photo is the company logo. Unless it's minus a muffler, it also has something awesome under the bonnet because it sounded, well, wicked. I'm familiar with Isuzu, Td5 and Puma noises, and they aren't it.
( This is their webpage : SLR Caravans and Motorhomes Home Page (http://www.slrcaravans.com.au/) ) No mention of it as yet.

That thing looks awesome.... I'll keep a lookout for more specs as it looks like they've one the extra mile.
Cheers

I wonder how much body rigidity is lost with a pop top?

The roof structure is reinforced where the center section is cut out, so I don't think there is too much rigidity lost.

You'll forgive me for thinking that it was a new vehicle - up close it was immaculate ( even in the rain). And, for whatever reason there were no number plates.
Well done 03Boz
