washing Td5

Hello! I have Defender 2006 with Td5 engine, the question is it safe to wash this engine with Karcher device? Do I need for some preparation before washing?

Spray a bit of degreaser (or diesel fuel) around and then hit it with the Karcher - I've been doing it for years with no problems. Depending on the size and pressure output of your Karcher though, Just be careful how close you apply the pressure spray.

Yeah, I have a td5 disco, I always wash it with a karcher, its the smallest in the range (winner 11).
I just spray the entire engine bay with truck wash (soundproofing covers still in place) and wash it down with the karcher!
No probs yet!

The only precaution I take is to avoid the turbo when the engine is still hot.

Otherwise no problems.
