I'm 100% with Ezyrama,
I'll never drive any other Defender, just because I love my 90's too much. As a realist there is however both pros and cons.
Pros:
· Best out the box 4x4 bar none – regardless of what anyone says.
· Extreme fun to drive - Very nimble and zippy around town.
· Easiest car on earth to parallel park – you can see all 4 corners and it’s shorter than most hatchbacks.
· Lighter overall weight makes it the most fuel economic Defender.

Cons:
· Lack of space – they are not family cars (other than the school run, and then there is no space for the school bags!)
· Limited range – 60 liters of fuel does not go a long way outside town.
Thats about it I think - There are many ways to overcome the couple of cons I mentioned, but very little to remove the grin off your face you get from driving it!

I went from a 9 seater 110 to a 3 seater 90.
The main downsides are lack of space compared to the 110, although with just 3 seats the 'boot' area is the same as that in the 110, just dont have the option to fold the seats down!
The only day to day difference i notice it i have pop the wheel of the mtb to get it in the back now!
Overall I prefer the small size of the 90. Short length, high driving position and pretty good turning circle actually make it a pretty good town car (althought the V8 and 35*12.5 tyres on mine go someway to stopping that).

I've owned a range of Land Rovers over the years and loved them all. I currently drive a 2010 D90. It is without a doubt the most capable vehicle I have owned. Fantastic off road, and more than competent on road. Definitely not a vehicle for a family (strictly two up). I use it for touring and can carry more than enough gear. As Fritz Schumacher said "SMALL IS BEAUTIFUL".

The best thing at the moment is the price. LR have discounted them heavily. I pick mine up in two weeks.

Small is beautiful, but size matters!:p
Thats why I went for the 110, but the 90's are great trucks. you cant wipe the smile off my face when I'm driving mine and everyone else you see in one waves. Reminds me of when I had a minimoke.:spudnikwaving::spudnikwaving:

basics of long wheel base vs short, smooth vs choppy ride as vehicle pitches on undulations, turning circle larger v smaller, climbing stability less likely to lift wheels vs more likely to flip on it's back, vehicular space more vs less, performance less vs more.
go for it you know you want to.

Just do it....place the order....while you wait you'll go through the range of emotions - guilt, worry, doubt etc...then you'll pick up and you won't stop smiling....that is what happened to me.

I was really nervous when I ordered ours especially for long runs. Me and wife (she drives most of the time) love it. Only downsides are the ride is bit choppy and the 60ltr fuel tank (fixable with Frontrunner tank)
Took it for first long drive over the weekend which included towing trailer with digger at about 3 tons for a bit. Handled it all and was surprisingly good cruising.
As most on this forum say it does put a smile on yer face! Even wife who prefers horses to cars says she enjoys driving it.

You can make the ride much better if you drop the tyre pressures to about 30 psi all round.

Like everyone else, I absolutely love my 90, but...
Build quality i low and you need to be mentally prepared for the possibility of warranty returns to the dealer.
I have had two diff pinion seals replaced (under warranty) and in heavy rain water has started to make its way in somewhere around the windscreen and pool behind the dash. The car is not even 9 months old!
Would I have anything else? NO way.

No problems with water leaks with mine but I've had the rear pinion seal replaced three times and then the flange was ordered from the UK and fitted.. no more leaks! (mine is 7 months old).
Is it a problem for me? Nope.. I have not had an issue with Land Rover in regard to getting the problem fixed.. it would have only been a problem if they didn't fix it. It's also not just Land Rover that have issue with some of their cars.. my father spent more than a hundred grand on a new Land Cruiser that has probably spent more time in the workshop than on the road (and they have been ****s about fixing it), we had similar problems with our new Nissan Navara when we bought it too.. all brands will have some issues.. but as I said it is only a problem if it's not fixed..
And ditto.. I wouldn't have anything else either!:)
